This article addresses teaching and learning of movements, in particular by exploring the following points: »orientation towards sense and meaning«, »making differences possible«, »orientation towards effect«, »forming notions of movement«, »making experiences possible«, »situational setting« and »learning through movement tasks«. In sum, overarching principles are deduced for a didactically oriented movement theory which is equally instructive for scholars as well as persons working in the fie…
Every educational event inevitably comes to an end. A »good« ending to educational events is - in contrast to their opening - often not sufficiently reflected upon in didactical terms. Ulrich Papenkort’s article focuses attention on this subject, which has received little attention from the field of research to date. By distinguishing between »opening«, »a retrospective look«, »criticism«, »look forward« and »farewell«, new possibilities for designing a successful conclusion to teaching/learni…

Popular education refers to education for, by, and with, the people. In using examples from the pro refugee movement in his article, the author outlines how this concept supports practice and research to improve the reflection of effects and effectivity of actions in civic organisations.
Didactical shift of epoch? Needs for clarification for the further development of didactical thinking, with regard to a DFG-supported research This contribution deals with the question, what science should clarify, explore and do in order to tackle a possible stagnation of didactical thinking (and therewith also its practical possibilities of impact). The author covers definitions and dissemination of »Open Educational Resources (OER)« marked by Web 2.0, particularly issues of copyright and licensing law as well as the problems of financing free material. At the same time, the potential adult education surplus value of OER is pointed out and the prerequisites of high-quality learning and teaching processes are discussed. The article concludes with an agenda for teachers aimed at the sustainability of the OER.
Case-reconstructive quality circles have hardly ever been tried out in adult education. Under the direction of trainers, course teachers reflect the quality of their work in a mutual process. Their own teaching/learning situation serves as illustrative material. It is self-evident that this method relies on mutuality and must be voluntary. The method, which is explained with the aid of a practice example from the KVHS Northeim, has its origins in health care.
Common staff qualification concepts hardly ever pay attention to the needs of disabled people. Qualification measures for sensorically handicapped employees must, however, yield a surplus. Above and beyond the teaching of professional know-how, problems have to be addressed which derive from the handicap and affect day-to-day work. The article gives information about a further education concept for people with hearing disabilities and about the chances and difficulties in its implementation.
