Diese Ausgabe des REPORT widmet sich unterschiedlichsten Fragen zur Zukunft von Weiterbildung im kommenden Jahrhundert. Die Beiträge behandeln u. a. Themen wie Medien und ihre zukünftige Bildungsfunktion, Bildungspolitik im nächsten Jahrhundert, Bedeutung von Weiterbildung für die Unternehmensentwicklung.
Der Anlaß dieser Beiträge ist die Diskrepanz zwischen zunehmender Relevanz von Wissen in der Gesellschaft und der marginalen Rolle, die die Diskussion über Wissen als Lehrgegenstand in der Erwachsenenbildung einnimmt.
